So pretty much for the first time in my life I am enjoying riding a bicycle, despite falling off the second day I tried riding around the city. I wake up and am actually excited to get outside and ride to the library. As I have always been someone who thinks her life would not be very different if she had to be confined to a wheelchair, this surprises me. After all I am not a huge fan of fresh air and sunshine. But then I saw something on my way to the electronics store today which made me realize why I love riding around Munich...
A nun on a bike with a metal folding chair strapped to the back.
Seeing things like this makes it totally worth it. Oh and then there are these important factors:
1. Munich is flat as a pancake, which is good for out-of-shape me.
2. There are bike lanes everywhere and pedestrians and motorists (nice use of motorists, Fisher) watch for cyclists.
3. It saves me 40 euros since I do not have to buy a monthly public transportation pass.
4. It came with a ridiculously huge basket, which actually makes my life much easier.
